Overview
We’re looking for a Sr. Men’s Footwear Designer to join the fastest growing brand in the footwear industry! Reporting to the Director, Footwear Design, and as the Sr. Footwear Designer you will have the opportunity to build a global collection based on comfort, style, and an easy everyday feel. We are looking for individuals that have a passion for the consumer, the HEYDUDE brand and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Design unique and exciting concepts that are commercial and feasible in a time-sensitive manner to support building the brand, and the Men’s seasonal line.
- Research awareness of broad marketplace understanding across all channels, including both fashion and sport lifestyle influences.
- Collaborate and use creative problem-solving to support Category Management and Product Development needs and challenges.
- Apply Material, Color, Pattern & Graphics to concepts throughout the Seasonal Design Process and off-calendar timelines. Provide a strong proficiency with thoughtful and elevated outcomes.
- Communicate ideas for business needs that are relevant to the Hey Dude consumer from trend & market research reports to concept & presentation sketches and technical drawings and revisions.
- Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams, Category Management and Product Development, to ensure footwear designs will meet targeted briefs for cost and consumer demand and will implement in a bulk production setting.
- Support & deliver designs through brand-right concept inspiration, form, detail, materials, color/print application, technical drawings, and cost; ensuring results are met in a timely manner.
- Build partnerships and collaborate with the entire product team on trend & consumer research, marketplace travel & design inspiration.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or related field.
- Minimum 5-8+ years’ experience in designing footwear products.
- Proven ability with past successes on elevated trend, silhouette, material/trim specific to relevance in the Men’s marketplace.
- Expert with tools of footwear design – concept sketching, technical drawings with multiple views in 2D & 3D form. 3D design program knowledge is a plus.
- Strong technical background and proficiency in Adobe CC: Illustrator & Photoshop.
- Possess a working knowledge of footwear construction, lasts, patterns and materials; willingness to learn the specifics of HEYDUDE product creation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-first mentality while maintaining an ability to be self-directed and work independently.
- Some travel to both domestic and international markets is required.

Salary or Pay Range: $110,000 - $115,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
