What you'll be doing day to day
Now is an exciting time to join IKEA and be part of its retail growth strategy! As a Retail Store Design Architect, responsible for the planning and the conceptual design of new customer meeting point stores, you will:
Collaborate with Group Expansion, Retail Concept, and external consultants to design the Customer Meeting Point (CMP) based on conceptual drawings, ensuring it embodies IKEA's visual identity in line with market input and guidelines
Design the interior of the building in alignment with IKEA's architectural concepts, ensuring an efficient and effective commercial layout informed by market input.
Optimize the main flows of the Customer Meeting Point for high operation efficiency (on a high level)
Responsible for the design work for Store In Shape As New Investments which impact the store architecture.
Ensure cost-effective execution while adhering to local regulations. Manage multiple CMP projects simultaneously with well-defined timelines.
Work across functions within Ingka Group and Retail Concept and collaborate with other IKEA units.
Drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values.
Contributes to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree.
AIA Certification.
Advanced training in architecture, Store design or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in executing Expansion Planning & Store Design and Retail Establishment Process.
Experience of the IKEA Retail Establishment process and responsibility for large projects.
Experience with Auto-cad/Archi-cad/Revit.
Knowledge of green building practices.
