The Staff Accountant will primarily focus on Funko’s direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, including our websites, conventions, and physical retail stores. This role will be responsible for the accounting operations related to these divisions, such as facilitating new business development, integrating new platforms and processes, monitoring daily DTC activity, and consolidating global datasets. Collaboration with various departments within Funko as well as external business partners is integral to this role.  Additionally, the incumbent will partner with other Accounting departments, including payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, on an as-needed basis to support various monthly processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the accounting related to all E-commerce and DTC activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of E-commerce activities, recording journal entries promptly to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations to support timely financial reporting.
  • Participate in both internal and external audits on a quarterly and annual basis, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and integration of new acquisitions into existing Funko processes, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment with financial procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from the Direct-to-Consumer & New Initiatives team to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, documenting and managing processes as needed.
  • Support various cross-departmental non-routine assignments, projects, and analytics as required to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting, Business Analysis, or Finance, with a preference for prior E-commerce experience (Salesforce).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working with large volumes of data from multiple sources, demonstrating strong data management and analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in organizing data, utilizing pivot tables, writing complex formulas, designing professional reports, and extracting data into Excel.

Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $67,725 - $72,000 annually. ​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This position is based in Everett, WA (HQ).
