Overview
As an Azure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based solutions for our organization. You will be responsible for understanding business requirements, translating them into scalable and reliable Azure architectures, and guiding the development team throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. This role demands a deep understanding of Azure services, best practices, and industry standards to ensure the successful delivery of cloud solutions that meet business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Architectural Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure-based solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of Azure solutions, including infrastructure setup, configuration, integration, and deployment, while optimizing for performance, cost, and reliability.
- Cloud Governance: Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance, security, and cost optimization across Azure environments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders, to drive successful project delivery and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with Azure solutions, including security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and compliance issues.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's cloud strategy.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and deployment procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure the maintainability of Azure environments.

What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in a technical leadership position.
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Extensive experience architecting, designing, and implementing Azure-based solutions, with a strong understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices and serverless computing.
- Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures, including Azure Stack and Azure Arc.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations, such as GDPR, or PCI.
- Experience with big data technologies and analytics platforms, such as Azure Databricks, Snowflake or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Previous experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions on Azure.

Salary or Pay Range: $155,000-$165,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
