About Local 405
We are a Local Union chapter of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers. We are also members of the Ironworkers District Council of Philadelphia and have taken a leadership role in various other organizations throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
You’ll find our work at the heart of a many construction projects. We are skilled tradespeople who use rebar, cables, and mesh to reinforce the concrete in constructing building, bridges, and roadways. We also load, unload, move, and set all types of machinery. Our members have the knowledge of all hoisting equipment and the proper signaling of said equipment.
