Job Title: Back-End Developer (Entry-Level) – Project-Based

Position Summary:
The Neurodiversity Employment Network: Philadelphia (NENPHL) is seeking an entry-level Back-End Developer to support the creation of a dynamic, searchable platform. This platform will connect neuroinclusive employers, service providers, and allies in the region, advancing our mission to enable neurodivergent individuals to gain meaningful employment. This is a grant-funded, part-time, project-based position with flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the server-side functionality for a robust and scalable platform.
- Create and integrate secure and efficient databases to support a searchable directory of neuroinclusive resources.
- Implement APIs and other tools to connect the platform to external systems, such as HubSpot and WordPress.
- Ensure platform security, data integrity, and reliability.
- Collaborate with the Front-End Developer, Executive Director, and other team members to align technical functionality with user needs.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with back-end programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, PHP, etc.).
- Basic understanding of database design, management, and integration (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience or familiarity with API development and system integrations (e.g., HubSpot, WordPress).
- Interest in creating inclusive and accessible technology solutions.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within project timelines.
- Access to a computer and internet for remote work.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, project-based (approximately 10-15 hours per week), with regular virtual meetings.
