Location: This is a full-time, remote position with preference given to applicants located in Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Arizona, or Illinois.
Compensation: Total Target Compensation is $200,000, with $100,000 base salary.
- First 6 months: Management by objectives (MBO) commission structure
- Second 6 months: Non-recoverable draw
- Year 2 & beyond: 7% commission up to 50% of quota, 13% commission on the second 50% of quota. Max quota 115%

About Myno Carbon:
Myno’s mission is to remove as much carbon as we can, as fast as we can to mitigate climate change. To meet this goal, Myno is building large-scale carbon removal facilities (CRFs) that convert sustainably sourced timber waste into biochar and renewable electricity. Once built, Myno’s first CRF in northwest Washington state will be the largest biochar production facility in the US. Job Description:
Sales Manager, Biochar for Retail Myno is seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to focus on retail biochar sales opportunities. This position will drive new business development and generate new sales opportunities. We are looking for someone to actively seek out and engage prospective customers, create value-driven sales strategies, and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets. This role requires a proactive, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media, and other creative methods.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue growth and market penetration.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, manage sales activities through CRM, and ensure timely follow-up on leads.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop lead generation campaigns and with the customer service team to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Experience: Proven track record of successful sales experience in a hunter role, with experience in white labeling, retail partnership acquisition, and sales, and connections into specialty agriculture industries (vineyards, golf courses, country clubs, etc) would be a plus
