TITLE: Lead Software Engineer
LOCATION: Washington, D.C.
DUTIES: Defines, develops, modifies, or maintains software application modules using disciplined development processes. Provides technical leadership as part of a diverse team and provides consistent ownership for increasingly complex deliverables. Creates technical design specifications and assists in sizing technical requirements. Works with customers to develop and analyze application packages and tools and determine optimum functionality requirements to meet those needs. Ensures that the design and application implementation meet security and Quality Assurance (QA) standards. Evaluates existing applications and provides recommendations for system enhancements. Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process. Documents functions and changes to new or modified modules, and tests activities/results and other areas such as error handling and backup/recovery procedures. Makes modules production‐ready by moving them to libraries, completing forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc. Coordinates preventative maintenance activities between vendors, IT, and the business, including the installation of service packs, patches, and hot fixes.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field followed by five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Lead Software Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development. Must also have three (3) years of experience: (1) Implementing software solutions with full IT development lifecycle within the Agile, Scrum, and SAFE development environments; (2) Following incident and change management processes and practices using ServiceNow; (3) Providing hands-on frontend (web) or backend (server) mobile application development or cloud platform services; (4) Delivering solutions to enable personalized customer experience across various digital channels leveraging the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform and Adobe Ecosystem, such as Adobe Target and Adobe Analytics; (5) Developing Middleware and distributed systems architecture; (6) Developing applications using Android, Java, Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Ionic, and Adobe Experience Manager; and (7) Using tools like Xcode and Visual Studio. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with standard company policy. All positions require pre-employment background check verification and a pre-employment drug screen.
SALARY: $165,173 per year
